Apprenticeships
Every March and April, we advertise for new apprentices for various trades such as plumbers and electricians.
We don't ask for any formal qualifications. We do our own shortlisting tests in May - covering basic English, maths, initiative and logic. This is because college work is involved and we need our apprentices to be at least at GCSE level C standard to do this. Anyone aged over 16 years can apply and there is no upper age limit.
Please note that applications are restricted to residents who live within the boundary of Nottingham City Council (unless they have a disability). As we work in partnership with Nottingham City Council, we support their approach to recruitment for entry level posts. “Local Jobs for Local People” helps local people gain access to training and employment opportunities in the city.
