We believe that work is a key element of an independent and fulfilling life - everyone has skills and abilities to offer.

But many people, including disabled people, can find it hard to get a job.

So we work with two organisations that can help... 

Remploy is the UK’s leading provider of specialist employment services to people who experience complex barriers to work.

The Nottingham branch, on Friar Lane in the city centre, is part of Remploy’s expanding network of recruitment branches across the UK which find opportunities in mainstream employment for people with disabilities and health conditions. 
 
Nottingham City Homes works with Remploy to recruit people for roles across our business.

The Nottingham branch team has found jobs for around 400 people since opening its doors in October 2006. Remploy wants to support more than 20,000 disabled people into mainstream jobs nationally by 2012.
 
To identify those jobs, Remploy partners with more than 2,000 of the country’s biggest companies including BT, Royal Bank of Scotland, Royal Mail, the NHS, Marks & Spencer and ASDA. By doing so, employers have access to an untapped pool of talented and diverse people with valuable work skills and industry specific vocational knowledge.

Ingeus’ Pathway to Work programme has already supported more than 3,600 people in Nottinghamshire to move from health-related benefits into work. The programme combines condition management and employment services that are tailored to address each client’s specific needs.

Joining the Pathways to Work programme won’t affect your benefits, and when you join you can access:

• A personal advisor for one-to-one support 
• Expert health advice from Ingeus' health professionals
• In-work benefits calculations - to show you how much better off you will be in work
• Expert job-hunting advice – how to find and apply for jobs, write a good CV and perform well at interviews
• Free use of with PCs, internet, phones, newspapers and journals
• Financial assistance - with travel expenses, work equipment and interview clothing
• Continuing in-work support - for up to six months

Ingeus also have a dedicated team of recruitment specialists who work closely with employers in a range of industries throughout Nottingham, including retail, catering and hospitality, childcare, cleaning, and administration.
